So I actually have
a side story as to how I ended up with this box. Sorry this is sort of long, but please just bear with me. Several months ago, I received an email from
Influenster asking me to take a survey for the Varsity VoxBox. I was very
excited when I saw the email since I haven’t received a package from them for a
while already, and was just glad they didn’t forget about me. So I took the
survey and got another email saying I was “in”. Fast forward to several weeks
later, one day, I received another email from Influenster saying that actually,
I won’t be receiving the Varsity VoxBox but instead the Rose VoxBox, because
they claimed that the Rose VoxBox would fit me so much better. I was ecstatic
because I knew the Rose VoxBox was going to be a beauty VoxBox, and I am always
down to try new makeup. So I waited and waited. Then several weeks passed, and
I got another email from them telling me that actually, I will be getting the
Violet VoxBox instead. I was starting to get irritated because I was really
hoping to receive the Rose VoxBox, especially since I already knew what were
inside that box by then. Anyway, I finally got the Violet VoxBox, and to be
honest, I personally thought the Rose VoxBox would still fit me better than the
Violet VoxBox. I understand I should be grateful for receiving all these free
items, and I truly am, especially when I know a lot of Influenster members
didn’t get anything since they signed up a year ago. But after all, the whole
process was a bit frustrating, and I figured I would share my entire experience
on here.
Nonetheless, I
am super excited to try out all the items in the VoxBox, and I will do reviews
on each of the products in future posts. This is simply going to be an opening
post on what I have received in this Violet VoxBox.
Since this box
is called the Violet VoxBox, of course the entire box is in purple color. When
I first saw the box, I was very happy to see how nice the box design was. I
remember when I received my Sweetheart VoxBox, I didn’t think the company was
that big yet, and the VoxBoxes they sent out back then were in simple white
boxes with stickers on them, indicating what theme the boxes were. It is
actually a great feeling to see how much Influenster has changed, and also the
effort they put in for their members all these years. The Violet VoxBox was
supposed to be a Fall beauty VoxBox; however, I didn’t receive this box until
mid December, so I kind of considered this an early Christmas present from
Influenster. Time to open this early Christmas gift!!
I was super
happy when I opened the VoxBox. Even though the box was a lot smaller than I
thought it would be, this box is jammed pack with products. Here is the list of
what the Violet VoxBox consists of:
1) Goody
Athletique Ouchless Reversible Quick Dry Headwrap (Retail: $6.00)
2) Sally Hansen
New Triple Shine Nail Color – Flame On (Retail: $4.99)
3) SOYJOY Baked
Whole Soy & Fruit Bar – Dark Chocolate Cherry (Retail: $0.99)
4) Montagne
Jeunesse Dead Sea Mud Spa (Retail: $2.49)
On the front of
the card, it says, “Inspired by this season’s dark moody florals, the Violet
VoxBox is for the beauty queens of Influenster Nation. And, as surely as winter
comes, we knew that under layers of snow, spring violets still grow. So go on,
check in your box, test your new goodies and start sharing a little flower
power with your friends, family, and followers this fall!” On the back of the
card, Influenster provided information about each of the products that were in
the box, including their retail prices and descriptions.
Overall, I am
very happy with this VoxBox!! It is filled with items that I once considered
trying, but just didn’t have a chance to do so. I am glad that Influenster gave
me this awesome opportunity to try out all these wonderful products!! Like I
have said before, this is simply a post on what I have received in this Violet
VoxBox. I will be writing reviews on each of the products in my future posts…
so stay tuned, everyone!!
* I have
received these products complimentary for testing purposes from Influenster.
